Job Description:
The superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client expectations. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Execution Serve as responsible party on site as company representative. Supervise daily construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules. Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to ensure quality workmanship. Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep the project on schedule. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and organized worksite. Identify and mitigate potential job site hazards. Leadership & Team Coordination Lead, mentor, and support on-site teams to promote productivity and a positive work environment. Communicate project expectations clearly with all stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and management. Conduct weekly site meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals. Quality Control & Compliance Inspect work for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards and make necessary corrections. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and inspections. Scheduling & Budget Management Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain construction schedules. Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring costs, preventing waste, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensure timely delivery of materials and proper resource allocation to meet deadlines efficiently. Client & Stakeholder Relations Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction. Address and resolve any concerns or disputes that arise during construction. Other Related Duties The employee may be required to perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of Collier Construction. These responsibilities may be assigned by management to support company growth, operational needs, or strategic initiatives. Employees are expected to demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to contribute beyond the listed duties to further the success of the company. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate site activities effectively. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. OSHA 30 certification preferred.Job Type:
