Type:
full-time Data Center Project Manager - Owner's Representative GTG Builds is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to support mission-critical data center projects in an Owner's Representative capacity. This role will primarily support retrofits, infrastructure upgrades, renovations, and other projects within existing operating data center facilities , with potential support for new construction and special projects. The Project Manager will support projects from design and preconstruction through construction, commissioning coordination, closeout, and turnover , working closely with the Owner, design teams, general contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage data center retrofit, upgrade, renovation, and construction projects from planning through closeout. Represent the Owner in coordinating contractors, A/E teams, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, cash flow, and overall project performance . Support contractor procurement, bid analysis, scope reviews, contract negotiations, and vendor coordination. Coordinate design activities, constructability reviews, permitting, value engineering, and scope changes. Manage project cost and change control, including review and negotiation of change orders. Monitor construction progress, schedule performance, QA/QC, safety compliance, and project risks. Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, invoices, drawings, and other critical project documentation. Identify and resolve issues that could impact project safety, quality, schedule, cost, or operational continuity . Coordinate project closeout, punch lists, warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, final accounting, and turnover. Work effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while managing multiple concurrent projects. Qualifications 5+ years of construction project management, project or program management, engineering, superintendent, facility technician/management, equipment sale and project management and or related experience. Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial facilities, or technically complex construction projects . Strong understanding of construction project delivery, scheduling, budgeting, change management, and document control. Ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction documents. Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and construction project management tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing retrofits projects or ground up construction projects as a general or prime contractor, trade contractor, owners rep or and facility owner. Data center and or MEP infrastructure experience. PMP or equivalent project management certification. OSHA 30 or other construction safety training/certification. Primavera P6 or MS Project or similar scheduling software experience. PE or Registered Architect licensure is a plus.
