Full time General Information/Job Summary The superintendent will be responsible to run the day-to-day operations on the construction site and control the short-term schedule for all civil disciplines. The role also includes important quality control and subcontractor coordination responsibilities. Responsibilities/Competencies Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and requirements, develop and maintain strong safety culture on the jobsite. Ensure compliance with all Company policies, operating procedures, and standards Ensure quality work products are performed within requirements of project QC standards and documentation Ensure that project is completed according to plan, within budget and according to promised deadlines Manage and coordinate subcontractor tool and equipment utilization on project, including equipment storage and maintenance Ensure supervision oversees performance of all crews and that tools and materials are provided in a timely manner Coordinate method of civil construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and temporary power sources Ensure work schedules are maintained, and projects records are completed properly and submitted in a timely manner Identify work outside the scope of the project and ensure proper authorization and documentation for all progress, extras, escalation and back charges is maintained Continuously monitor productivity and percentage complete identifying problems and potential delays and provide solutions to overcome Monitor compliance of the Company's safety program Deliver timely and accurate reports, financials, schedules and budgets on a regular basis Represent the Company, interfacing and building relationships with owners, customers, general contractors and subcontractors Maintain a presence in the field and serve as an example of technical support, ethical and professional behavior for field supervision and employees Ensure that field supervision is results oriented and promote the Company's culture, in particular, regarding safety, quality and customer service Requirements 10 years supervisory experience in Heavy Industrial civil construction Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, industry standards, equipment, construction methods, contracts and construction documents Advanced understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control and the ability to control and supervise large projects is essential Ability to work under pressure, coordinate numerous activities and crews who need to cooperate to achieve project goals Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required Excellent safety and performance record Computer literate Travel required
