This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site field operations, managing subcontractor coordination, enforcing a strong safety program, and ensuring projects are delivered on time. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Directing and managing all on-site field operations and subcontractor coordination. Implementing a strong safety program through regular scheduled and unscheduled safety inspections to ensure compliance with company and government standards. Sharing responsibility with the Project Manager for developing and monitoring the project budget. Actively participating in the preconstruction phase and ensuring the project is built on schedule. Mentoring and assisting in the management of assistant superintendents and other field personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of dedicated experience serving as a lead Superintendent in multifamily construction. 10 years or more of overall construction experience working in a commercial or multifamily construction environment. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Demonstrated indirect or direct supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractor management.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and understanding complex project plans, specifications, and scheduling tools. Strong working knowledge of field operations, safety compliance protocols, and trade coordination. Additional Qualities (a plus, but not required): Candidates local to the Waco area or willing to commute/relocate within the Austin to Fort Worth corridor. Previous or current multifamily construction experience on major residential complexes. Proven track record of long-term retention and stability in field leadership roles.
