Job Description

Commercial Construction Project Manager - We offer stable employment and benefits. Walkcon, Ltd. is an established Commercial General Contractor with office locations in Weatherford, TX. and Amarillo, TX. Our portfolio includes a wide range of projects throughout the southwest region of the United States.

The Position:
We are currently looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project Manager with remodel/ground up experience. It is critical that they have substantial experience in the commercial construction industry and running large scale projects in a prior position that required the exercise of judgment and discretion. Requirements:
  • Several years of experience in the construction industry, including experience as a construction supervisor or field superintendent, are usually required.
  • Substantial experience in remodel/ground up commercial construction
  • Capable of managing a project through leadership, communication, and planning
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and blueprints reading
  • Ability to meet fast paced and dynamic schedules and deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, and process improvement
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations
  • Material take-offs, ordering and delivery coordination
  • Negotiate contracts and revisions, changes/additions to contractual agreements with clients and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and project flow
  • Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor progress regularly through site visits, progress reports, and schedule updates; adjust plans proactively as needed

  • Submittal issuance Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which will typically involve 50+ hours a week.
Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on call early/late hours to deal with issues, delays, and emergencies at the job site. Travel Travel is required. The Project Manager will make frequent site visits (our projects are in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas) .
