Job Description
SERVPRO of Bastrop, Fayette County, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Manager to lead our subcontract-based reconstruction operations. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of post-mitigation rebuild projects, driving profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction. You will manage local subcontractor relationships, build accurate scope estimates, ensure code compliance, and maintain proper job documentation from contract signing to final walkthrough. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations for all reconstruction projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, budget compliance, and customer satisfaction. Manage, recruit, and schedule third-party subcontractors, ensuring proper licensing, insurance, and performance standards. Review scopes of work, build estimates, and manage change orders, contracts, and necessary project permits. Ensure all job files contain required documentation, including signed contracts, progress photos, client sign-offs, and carrier updates. Monitor project timelines to meet established production goals and keep property owners and insurance adjusters informed. Direct onsite subs and coordinate with administrative support staff to streamline operations. Verify that all work strictly complies with plans, specifications, local building codes, and safety standards. Position Requirements 5+ years of experience specifically in mitigation, restoration, or post-disaster reconstruction. Proven track record of managing a subcontract-based construction model. High school diploma or GED Proficiency in estimating software (Xactimate) and job management technology. Strong organizational, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to pass a background check, subject to applicable law. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Ability to inspect active job sites, which includes walking, standing, climbing ladders, and working at elevated heights. Exposure to varying jobsite environments, including loud noise levels, dust, and extreme temperature conditions. Travel throughout territory to perform job evaluations, customer consultations and quality checks.
