See Below Job Description Three Peak Construction builds luxury remodels and new builds in Park City, Deer Valley and the Wasatch Back. We work with high-expectation clients, and we care deeply about doing things the right way. We are under new management. We recently brought on a COO, Porter Nielsen, and restructured how the company runs. Every project now runs in two phases, a Design Phase and a Construction Phase, with transparent, open-book pricing in both. The Design Phase ends with permit-ready plans, selections made, sequencing built, and a detailed construction plan and estimate. We give clients estimates we work hard to stay within, barring change orders or unforeseen conditions. We are ambitious builders growing something big, and this hire gets in early. We are hiring a Residential Construction Manager to run our luxury remodels and new builds from the first day of construction through the final walkthrough. This role is for a builder who would rather run the build than sell it. Here is the deal. We find the clients and hand them over excited to work with you. By the time you start a job, selections are made, sequencing is set, the construction plan and estimate are done, and client expectations have been set several times. Your job is to build it well and finish on time. New hires get two weeks of systems and Buildertrend training before field work. You report to Porter Nielsen (COO). The COO owns the client relationship at a high level. You own the project relationship. What We're Looking For
- About 10+ years in the trades, including 4 to 5+ years running residential remodels
- Dozens of remodels completed
- Can do any trade passably, and has worked with a wide range of trades
- Knows remodel structure and scope, including load-bearing walls and what hides behind them
- Would rather run the build than sell it
- Strong Buildertrend skills, or similar construction management software
- Bonus points: a Utah general contractor license (preferred, not required), fluent Spanish, and experience running a small construction business What You'll Do
- Run the build. 1 to 3 jobs at a time depending on complexity, typically 2
- Be seen on site every day or most days
- Sequence the trades. Find replacement trade partners on short notice when someone falls through
- Make sure trade partners follow our processes, and that nothing gets added to a trade's scope without a change order
- Keep Buildertrend current. It is our source of truth, and you need to use it well
- Be a builder, not just a manager. If the framers bump us, you frame the fireplace. You can move an irrigation line, patch drywall, and you know your paints and primers
- Handle day-to-day client interaction on your jobs. Running jobs is the main role
- Run your jobs like you own them How Success Is Measured
- Projects finish on schedule
- Clients leave 5-star reviews
- Buildertrend is current every day: schedule, daily logs, change orders
- No scope creep.
Nothing gets added without a change order Your bonus pays on two things: 5-star client reviews and projects hitting their schedule. Up to $25,000 a year. Typical Day You are on site in Park City by eight. The tile setter is waiting on a shower pan that plumbing was supposed to rough in yesterday, so you get the plumber on the phone, then move the tile crew to the other bath so nobody loses a day. Mid-morning you catch a header the framer sized from the old drawings, and you fix it before drywall covers it. You update the schedule and daily log in Buildertrend before lunch, from the truck. In the afternoon the electrician says the client asked him to add three can lights. You get the client a change order, they approve it, and it goes in the schedule. Before you leave, you walk the site once more, and it is clean. This Job Is Not For You If
- You manage from the office and visit the site once a week
- You would rather not pick up a tool
- You let a trade add scope because it was easier than the conversation
- You would rather be selling the job than building it
- You treat Buildertrend as paperwork Who You Will Work With Nate Jensen, CEO and Owner.
Nate is a licensed general contractor with 20+ years in construction. He started as a flooring subcontractor and owned flooring, framing, excavating and concrete companies before moving into general contracting. He has run construction companies at the $5 to $7 million a year level. Nate leads sales and the client relationship from the first consultation through signing, and he understands complicated jobs, trade sequencing, and the realities that make or break a build. Porter Nielsen, COO. Porter is a licensed general contractor with an MBA from the University of Utah, and he owns and operates two other contracting businesses. He runs operations, systems, trade partners and marketing. He loves Park City and wants to see it grow responsibly. Growth Opportunity We are early in a planned growth phase. The Construction Manager who runs jobs like they own them is the person we build the field team around, and there is real room to grow into senior operations as we scale. Benefits
- Company vehicle and fuel
- 6 paid vacation days in your first year
- Company laptop and iPad
- Top-tier company apparel (Vuori-level quality, not cheap logo shirts)
- Quarterly company events
- AI tools provided, with training on how we use them
- Real growth: we are early in a planned growth phase
- Health insurance and a 401(k) are on our roadmap as the company grows Three Peak Culture We are not the cheapest company in town, and we are not trying to be.
We have been featured in the Park City Parade of Homes, and our goal is to become the number one firm in the area. We do high-quality work and expect a high standard from our team. That means follow-through, professionalism, honesty, and pride in the details. We want someone who takes ownership, identifies solutions, and helps us build a company people trust. We would rather lose a bad-fit applicant than hire one. Three Peak Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Character, competence, and professionalism matter here.
