We are seeking a high-caliber 3DCP Construction Superintendent to lead field operations, oversee high-tech digital production, and drive the overall execution of 3D construction projects. Position Summary The 3DCP Construction Superintendent is the primary construction supervisor responsible for the safe, efficient, and successful execution of large-scale 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) operations. The Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing and overseeing projects delegated by the Project Manager and/or Pre-construction Department. The Superintendent will ensure that all construction activities are performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, and company standards. This role operates across two critical phases of production: digital production oversight while the printer is running and hands-on leadership during equipment mobilization and setup. The Production Lead must transition seamlessly between remote technical troubleshooting and direct field crew management while maintaining print quality, job-site safety, equipment reliability, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities Digital Production Oversight:
Monitor active 3D printing operations, machine parameters, build progress, and auxiliary equipment (pumps, mixers, gantries) via specialized control software. Make real-time digital and material adjustments to maintain layer quality, flow, and structural integrity.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex digital, mechanical, material extrusion, or software-related issues during active print cycles.
Mobilization & Field Leadership:
Lead the breakdown, transport, reassembly, and commissioning of large 3D printers, robotic arms, and batch systems across project sites.
Site & Safety Management:
Serve as the central communication hub between technical teams, project managers, and field crews. Verify site readiness, ensure infrastructure spec compliance, and maintain top-tier safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills Concrete & Construction Experience:
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience working directly with concrete materials, methods, batching, mix designs, rheology, and quality control.
Technical Proficiency:
Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial machinery, digital machine-control systems, automated tools, or robotics (basic CAD/BIM knowledge preferred). 3DCP experience is a bonus, but a willingness to learn the technology is required.
Education & Credentials:
High school diploma or GED required (no college degree required). Valid Driver's License and Passport required for domestic/international deployments. Technical certifications in construction or robotics are highly desirable.
Leadership & Problem-Solving:
Exceptional diagnostic and critical thinking skills under pressure, paired with strong crew leadership abilities.
Compensation & Benefits Paid Training:
8-week paid training program based in Tooele, UT at $60,000/year salary (begins within 2 weeks of hire).
Post-Training Salary:
$95,000/ year salary upon training completion .
Travel Perks:
20% travel premium over base rate, plus profit-sharing bonus opportunities based on project performance targets.
Travel Coverage:
Company-provided lodging, 3 meals per day, and round-trip flights home during standard 7-week on-site rotation schedules.
