Role:
As a Construction Project Manager at HHI Corporation, you'll take a key leadership role in delivering complex construction projects from start to finish. You'll lead project teams, coordinate field operations and subcontractors, manage schedules and costs, and build strong relationships with Owners, design professionals, and project partners. This is a hands-on position for an organized, dependable leader who enjoys solving problems, keeping projects moving, and bringing teams together to deliver high-quality work safely, on time, and within budget. Main Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage project staff throughout the successful completion of projects. Organize and oversee job site administration and field operations. Coordinate field supervision and daily project activities. Develop, monitor, update, and communicate project schedules and progress. Manage direct labor and maintain positive labor relations. Manage subcontractors, including schedules, quality of work, coordination with other trades, and payments. Assist with the procurement of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Prepare and submit project invoices, requisitions, and payment documentation. Coordinate project costs and production goals to keep projects on track and within budget. Identify, manage, and resolve project changes, including vendor estimates and proposals. Establish and maintain a safe, secure, and productive job site. Build and maintain strong relationships with Owners, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and public safety agencies. Manage the submittal process, including the review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, and related documentation. Maintain complete project records, including subcontracts, bid packages, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documents. Review vendor schedules of values and prepare the project schedule of values. Manage the requisition process from review and submission through payment. Evaluate subcontractor payment requests against actual work completed. Coordinate project activities and communication between the job site and corporate office. Key Working Relationships Communicate professionally and effectively with Government and non-Government personnel, Owners, subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, superintendents, field staff, and Corporate Safety. Work collaboratively with multiple trades and disciplines to maintain quality, safety, and productivity without unnecessarily impacting progress. Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, including with upper management and project stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field —
REQUIRED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; skills assessment may be required. Proficiency with Bluebeam. Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills. Honest, dependable, and professional with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to meet applicable government security clearance requirements. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; must be insurable through the company. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing and/or estimating federal, commercial, or industrial construction projects. LEED or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers training. Experience with Sage Project Management. Experience with AutoCAD. Construction scheduling experience, including Primavera P6 and/or OPC.
