Job Description

About the Role J. Ford Construction is looking for an organized, goal-oriented person to support our construction team building high-end custom homes in the Park City area. This entry-level Project Assistant / Assistant Superintendent position assists our Project Superintendent and Project Coordinator by organizing and documenting field activities in Buildertrend project management software. You'll spend most of your time on site alongside the Superintendent, running the mobile office and handling the scheduling, coordination, and follow-up that keep each project moving. Along the way, you'll learn how luxury custom homes come together from the ground up. No construction experience is necessary, and the role offers room to grow as you build your skills. Responsibilities Project Documentation & Organization Organize and update the project schedule Maintain the project's Buildertrend page Track project to-do's and help coordinate them through to completion Document day-to-day site activity through daily logs Maintain current plan sets and drawing logs in PlanGrid Assist with plan set reviews Take meeting notes and distribute action items when needed Material Management Place material orders Track orders and confirm delivery dates Coordinate deliveries to the job site Maintain material inventory Subcontractor Coordination Assist with gathering estimates, bids, and contracts Help schedule subcontractors and track their progress Make phone calls to follow up on open items Site Support Help with on-site logistics Assist with site layout activities Assist with site quality control and inspections Give timely updates to the Superintendent and Project Coordinator on deadlines and open items Qualifications Organized and goal-oriented, with strong attention to detail Comfortable using a computer, iPad, and Excel daily Clear, proactive communicator who is comfortable making phone calls Able to manage deadlines and follow tasks through to completion Flexible and able to juggle multiple tasks, since no two days on a job site look the same Open to feedback and comfortable adjusting as priorities shift Comfortable spending most days on active job sites in varying conditions, with some time in the office Able to lift up to 40 lbs No construction experience necessary Nice to Have Not required, but it's a plus if you have: A college degree, especially in construction management or a related field Some experience with Buildertrend, PlanGrid, or similar software What We Offer $18-$25 per hour, based on experience Paid time off after 12 months of employment Health Insurance after 12 months of employment Retirement plan after 12 months of employment Company phone Company computer and i
