Job Description

Job Overview:
Kent Construction is a custom home builder, based out of Park City, building in Summit and Wasatch County. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of construction management principles. The Superintendent will be expected to serve as the on-site representative of the Kent Team and manage all facets of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a seamless and exceptional customer service experience throughout the home-building process for Kent Construction clients. Oversee all aspects of the job site, including the management and coordination of subcontractors. Provide daily progress reports on project status, including key achievements, completed tasks, and any challenges encountered. Create and follow project schedules. Order and manage materials needed for job site. Keep job site organized and clean. Manage and schedule inspections. Consistently focus on delivering quality work with precision and a commitment to excellence.
Required Skills:
In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations for custom homes. Must be highly proficient in interpreting and understanding house plans, design documents and requirements. Able to address any issues or questions related to the building or design plans and seek additional assistance when needed. Must be capable of managing teams and timelines efficiently. Including daily scheduling of work, meetings, and subcontractor communication to ensure tasks are completed on schedule. Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to walk a job site and work on your feet throughout the day, as well as to assist with light physical manual labor. Basic computer/tech skills including Office and Excel. Buildertrend/other construction software experience is a plus.
Education and Experience:
3+ years of construction experience, preferably in custom residential construction. Education related to Construction Management, Engineering or related fields a plus.
