We're looking for someone who can take an objective, figure out what needs to happen, and get it done—without constant supervision. Key Responsibilities Site Operations & Equipment Management Maintain jobsite cleanliness, safety, organization, and accessibility. Coordinate rebar unloading, material staging, deliveries, and inventory. Manage site services, including dumpsters, portable restrooms, and general maintenance needs. Maintain and organize company equipment and rentals, including cleaning, inspections, and coordinating repairs. Track tools, supplies, and equipment; build basic storage facilities as needed. Operate forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized. Manage standing water, pumps, hoses, and general site drainage. Coordinate routine logistical support for subcontractors. Read basic construction plans and assist with field coordination. Research project requirements, identify needed materials and equipment, and carry out special assignments from planning through completion. Perform hands-on construction work whenever needed. Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of up to one additional field employee, as assigned. Hold team members accountable for attendance, work quality, logging hours, safety, and completion of assigned responsibilities. Communicate daily progress, challenges, and resource needs to project management. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of construction experience. Strong knowledge of construction site operations and basic safety practices. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems. Familiarity with heavy equipment, especially forklifts and telehandlers. Ability to read basic construction plans or quickly develop that capability. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to lead and supervise at least one additional field employee, including assigning work, providing direction, and maintaining accountability. Willingness to perform physical labor alongside other field employees. Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and professional references.
Preferred:
Forklift/telehandler operating experience, skid steer or excavator experience, scissor lift experience, previous crew leadership, and Spanish-speaking ability. A Day in the Life A typical day might begin with a brief meeting with project management to establish priorities. From there, you'll independently organize your work, assign responsibilities to your helper (when assigned), coordinate a rebar delivery, operate a telehandler, inspect equipment, arrange dumpster service, and ensure standing water is being managed. Flexibility is an important part of this role. Construction deliveries don't always follow a predictable schedule, and some days may require an early start or a later finish to accommodate truck arrivals, material deliveries, or other time-sensitive site activities. We're looking for someone who can adapt their schedule when needed to keep operations running smoothly. You might also be assigned a special project, such as installing security camera towers. Rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions, you'll evaluate the requirements, determine the tools and materials needed, develop an installation plan, delegate appropriate tasks, and complete the work safely and efficiently. Throughout the day, you'll provide direction and support to your helper when assigned, ensure work is progressing safely, and address issues as they arise. At the end of the day, you'll provide a brief update on completed work, outstanding issues, team productivity, and priorities for tomorrow. What Success Looks Like You take ownership of assignments and consistently follow through. You anticipate problems and recommend practical solutions. You maintain an organized, safe, and productive jobsite. You communicate effectively with management and subcontractors. You can lead, motivate, and hold another employee accountable while remaining actively involved in the work. You complete projects independently without requiring constant supervision. Why Join Us?
