Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt & Road Construction Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for paving and roadway projects. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, industry experience, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt paving, road construction, and sitework projects
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Collaborate with superintendents and operations teams
• Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain organized records of bids and estimates

Qualifications:

• Experience in asphalt paving, road construction, or heavy civil estimating
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in asphalt or roadway construction
• Background in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
