Job Summary A direct hire opportunity is available for a Project Executive in Arlington, VA, supporting large-scale commercial construction projects with a focus on Mission Critical/Data Center or Aviation work. This senior leadership role is ideal for an experienced construction executive who can oversee complex project portfolios, guide high-performing teams, strengthen client relationships, and drive profitable project delivery. The Project Executive will serve as a key operational and client-facing leader, providing executive oversight from preconstruction through closeout. This is a strong opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys a "doer-seller" role, balancing project execution, financial accountability, risk management, team leadership, and business development.   • Provide executive oversight for large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through construction, closeout, and turnover.
  • Lead and support Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and project teams to ensure strong performance, communication, and accountability.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete, billings, cash flow, change management, and profitability.
  • Identify and mitigate financial, contractual, schedule, safety, quality, and operational risks across assigned projects and accounts.
  • Serve as a senior client contact, building relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Participate in pursuits, RFQs, RFPs, proposals, presentations, interviews, and account strategies to support repeat business and new opportunities. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $200,000 to $250,000 per year. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Provide executive leadership across large-scale commercial construction projects and client accounts.
  • Oversee project financials, forecasting, cost control, risk management, contract issues, and profitability.
  • Lead project teams, mentor construction professionals, and support staffing, performance, and succession planning.
  • Support client development, project pursuits, proposals, presentations, and long-term account growth.
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience.
  • Previous Mission Critical/Data Center or Aviation construction experience is required.
  • Proven experience managing large, technically complex commercial construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects and/or a significant portfolio of work.
  • Strong knowledge of preconstruction, project execution, scheduling, procurement, contracts, project controls, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated accountability for project profitability, forecasting, cost control, change management, and financial performance.
  • Experience leading Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong owner and client relationship management experience.
  • Experience participating in business development activities, including pursuits, proposals, presentations, and client interviews.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day project execution. Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
