We are looking for a candidate who has worked in the field, understands CMT/inspection operations, and can transition smoothly into project coordination, staff oversight, report review, QA/QC documentation, and client communication. Key Responsibilities Coordinate construction materials testing and inspection projects from kickoff through closeout Review daily field reports, test reports, and project documentation for quality and completeness Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents Schedule, supervise, and mentor field technicians and inspectors Track project progress, budgets, invoices, and deliverables Communicate with clients, contractors, project managers, and field staff regarding project status and problem areas Escalate field, quality, and schedule issues to senior staff and clients as needed Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on construction materials testing and inspection experience Experience on transportation, heavy civil, or public infrastructure projects Experience reviewing field reports and coordinating field staff Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites in the Northern Virginia / DC Metro area Preferred Qualifications Experience with concrete, soils/aggregate compaction, asphalt, and related field testing/inspection Certifications such as

ACI, WACEL, NICET

CMT, MARTCP, and/or VDOT materials certifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered PE or EIT is a plus Important Note Candidates without direct construction materials testing / inspection field experience will not be considered. General construction coordination or administrative project experience alone is not sufficient for this role.

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
