We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Piping Superintendent in Elkton, Virginia who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. A piping superintendent is a senior construction professional who combines technical knowledge, leadership, and project management skills to oversee piping systems from installation to turnover to client. Success in this role requires experience, strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to manage complex projects efficiently. • Supervising and coordinating crews involved in pipe laying, joining, welding, insulation, and testing, ensuring work aligns with project specifications and standards
• Planning and scheduling construction activities, determining manpower, material requirements, equipment needs, and temporary power sources
• Coordinating with other trades and departments, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams, to ensure smooth project execution
• Performing inspections and tests, including hydrotesting and pneumatic testing, to verify system integrity
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 5 years of construction site experience in an EPCM environment preferred
• At least 5 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager
• Experience with Modular skid reassembly, Bluebeam, plumbing, non-hygienic piping, CGMP documentation Ideally, you'll also have:
• Pharma Experience preferred
• OSHA30 certification
