This role oversees multiple development projects in support of the division land initiatives. This position requires onsite attendance 5 days per week at assigned project sites in the Fairfax, Virginia & surrounding areas. Primary Job Responsibilities Direct land activities at large Master Plan or multiple smaller projects over large geographic area. Manage and coordinate contractors, inspectors, engineers and master developers. Review design documents, site plans, improvement plans and plats for project coordination and accuracy. Lead and coordinates Value Engineering Process. Prepare and manage budgets. Verify job-specific invoices. Direct planning and engineering design for conformance to Master Plan as amended from time to time Serve as principal liaison with regulatory agencies when preparing, modifying or obtaining approval of the comprehensive land plan or permitting. Coordinate and review utility company designs. Lead the bidding and contracting processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Career Level (M2)

Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team of professionals, with direct impact on the immediate or short-term operational results of the area. Typically does not have budget accountability, but may manage day- to-day spreadsheets or elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff, expense monitoring)

Leadership & Talent Management:

Supervises a team consisting of professionals, typically at the entry or intermediate level. Leads, directs and reviews the work of team members in order to accomplish operational plans and results. Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports.

Knowledge & Experience:

Requires basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Typically requires specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline. Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2-4 years prior relevant experience. Salary Range:

$140,000 - $160,000 annually depending upon experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus incentive based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
