Job Description

Senior Construction Manager Clearance:
Active TS/SCI required; current CI Polygraph preferred. Must be willing to undergo a CI Polygraph.
Location:
Fort Belvoir, VA Overall Assignment Description:
The candidate will support DIA's Facilities Project Management enterprise with project management, construction management, requirements development, stakeholder engagement, field inspections, and status reporting. This position requires day-to-day owner representation and coordination with construction contractors, field personnel, and government stakeholders. The Construction Manager must be highly proficient with construction drawings, specifications, and standard construction industry practices.
Duties:
  • Develop project management plans and collect requirements, prepare scopes of work, conduct market research, and develop sole-source justifications as needed
  • Manage project designs and construction efforts throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to scope, budget, timeline, and applicable standards
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of architects and engineers from a variety of organizations
  • Review designs submitted for changes to government facilities
  • Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel, government stakeholders, and other government contracts, including facilitating Utility Assistance Request meetings for building outages
  • Conduct construction inspections to ensure conformance with design specifications and building codes
  • Provide daily and official weekly project status reports
  • Prepare and distribute project communications to customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information
  • Conduct and approve punch-list items before property turnover
  • Maintain, track, and update contract change requests
Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience developing project management plans, leading multidisciplinary teams of architects and engineers from a variety of organizations, and monitoring and reporting project status
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications and knowledge of standard construction industry practices
Desired Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
  • Certified Construction Manager or Project Management Professional certification
  • Experience with new building construction

Salary:
$110k - $125k
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
