Duties to include the following functional duties along with the ability to conduct work involving the following: Actively utilizing the installed"3M" (Maintenance and Material Management) system to plan, schedule, and track all necessary maintenance activities on PACFLT Berthing and Messing Barges. Working with the foreman and different departments on the barge to ensure their maintenance schedules align and are properly executed, including coordinating with tradesman, electricians, and other maintenance personnel. Keeping track of the condition of shipboard equipment via barge code CSMP (Current Ships Maintenance Plan), identifying potential issues, and initiating timely repairs. Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including completion of tasks, identifying problems, and reporting to higher command. A significant portion of the 3MC's job involves managing paperwork, data entry, and reporting related to maintenance activities. Conducting Spot checks in the field to ensure the maintenance is being conducted with safety and quality in mind.
