) Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation's premier electrical and general contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for a Project Manager in Norfolk, VA.
Project Manager Compensation & Benefits:

Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead safety culture and maintain compliance with all safety standards and OSHA regulations Manage field construction activities, engineering support, and project operations across single or multiple concurrent projects Serve as primary client contact and liaison between internal teams and ownership Control project costs and maintain profitability through effective cost tracking and analysis Develop and monitor project schedules ensuring timely completion and milestone achievement Establish and review labor requirements with divisional management Conduct regular site inspections to verify safety compliance, quality standards, and work progress Coordinate all trade partners and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project scope and specifications Administer project policies and procedures Address technical challenges and design conflicts with architects, inspectors, and ownership Facilitate project coordination meetings and resolve operational issues Monitor purchasing activities to ensure quality materials and competitive pricing Lead regular safety meetings and provide guidance on safety protocols and hazard mitigation Oversee quality control implementation and compliance across all projects Determine equipment needs and ensure proper maintenance throughout project lifecycle Conduct regular meetings with project supervision to review progress and plan future construction activity Other duties as needed in support of successful project completion
Project Manager Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of commercial construction management experience required Experience managing medium to large projects valued at $20M+ required Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required Strong leadership and team building capabilities Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong prioritization and organizational abilities with attention to detail Strong working knowledge of BIM, Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven track record organizing and mobilizing project teams to accomplish goals Effective negotiation and contract management skills Well-rounded knowledge of all construction disciplines Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Preferred but
Not Necessary:
PMP or CCM certification OSHA 30 certification Experience with retail, multi-family, hospitality, gaming, military, or state/federal projects Experience with design-build or progressive delivery methods
Work Environment:
Based in North Carolina Commercial construction projects including retail, multi-family, hospitality, gaming, military, and state/federal work Management of single or multiple concurrent projects Fast-paced, high-accountability environment #BASE1
