The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on-time, and to the highest quality standards while effectively managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations and maintaining effective communication with management. Responsibilities:

Site Management & Supervision:

Direct and manage all on-site personnel, including laborers and subcontractors, to ensure daily operational needs are met.

Scheduling & Coordination:

Develop and drive project timelines (often using 2 week "lookahead" schedules) to prevent bottlenecks and ensure milestones are reached.

Safety Enforcement:

Implement and enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations (such as OSHA standards) to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections to verify that all work meets design specifications, local building codes, and industry quality standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain meticulous daily logs of site activities, progress, material deliveries, and any incidents or issues for the project team.

Resource Management:

Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring everything is available on-site as required to maintain momentum. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of directly related experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role overseeing on-site commercial construction activities. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, practices, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve project goals. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Knowledge of established building codes and permit requirements. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and Project Management software; experience with Procore is a plus. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
