Job Description
Overview Cook Siding & Window is seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to lead and improve our commercial and residential production operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing installation performance, field operations, scheduling, quality control, and team development. The ideal candidate is a proven construction operations leader who understands how to manage crews, improve processes, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive profitable growth. Candidates located within 50 miles of Salem/Roanoke, VA or willing to relocate are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Lead daily production operations for commercial and residential siding, roofing, windows and exterior remodeling. Manage installation teams, subcontractors and field supervisors Develop and improve production processes to improve efficiency, capacity and profitability Oversee scheduling, job flow, material coordination and project completion timelines Establish accountability for safety, workmanship, quality standards and customer satisfaction Partner with sales, estimating and leadership teams to ensure smooth project handoffs Monitor production metrics including labor efficiency, cycle times, callbacks and gross margin performance Recruit, train, coach and develop production team members Build strong relationships with builders, homeowners, vendors and trade partners Experience 5+ years of construction operations or production management experience Experience managing field teams, installers or subcontractor networks Strong understanding of commercial and residential processes Experience with roofing, siding, windows, remodeling or related exterior construction preferred Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Experience improving operational processes and team performance Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary $95,000-$120,000 depending on experience Performance-based bonus opportunity Company Vehicle Paid time off Relocation assistance available for the right candidate About Cook Siding & Windows Cook Siding & Windows is a 70+ year old and growing commercial and residential exterior construction company servicing Roanoke Valley and surrounding markets with strategic plans for market expansion.
