Interior Project Superintendent Utica Contracting Inc. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Interior Project Superintendent to oversee commercial interior construction and renovation projects throughout the DMV Metro Area. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining Utica Contracting's quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively communicate with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel while driving projects forward in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage daily on-site construction activities for commercial interior projects Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel Maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or issues Conduct site meetings with clients, subcontractors, architects, and project stakeholders Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company standards Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate execution Monitor project quality control and ensure workmanship meets company expectations Coordinate inspections, permits, and closeout activities Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates Work closely with Project Managers to manage schedules, budgets, and project milestones Resolve field conflicts and coordinate solutions efficiently Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Build strong relationships with clients and project partners to support repeat business opportunities Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial interior construction projects Experience with tenant fit-outs, renovations, corporate interiors, SCIFs, healthcare, retail, or government-related projects preferred Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and priorities simultaneously Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Office, and project documentation tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel to project sites throughout the DMV Metro Area Desired Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification preferred Experience supporting government or secure facility projects is a plus Procore or similar construction management platform experience preferred Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills Stable work history with demonstrated project success and leadership experience What We Offer Strong project backlog providing long-term stability and career growth opportunities Family-first company culture with strong employee tenure Competitive compensation package Vehicle allowance and/or company vehicle opportunities Health benefits and paid time off Opportunities for advancement within a growing organization Supportive leadership team and collaborative work environment Location Headquartered in Sterling, VA with project sites throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
