Job Description The Superintendent - Federal/Commercial Interiors - NoVA will: Manage daily on-site construction activities from project startup through completion. Coordinate and direct subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain project schedules and proactively drive milestones to meet client deadlines. Enforce quality standards, safety requirements, and compliance with project specifications. Conduct site walks, inspections, and oversee punch list completion. Review and interpret construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field-related issues. Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders on-site. Partner closely with Project Managers to align project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies. Travel to project locations as needed throughout the region and across the country. The Successful Applicant The Superintendent - Federal/Commercial Interiors - NoVA will have: 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial interior construction projects. Experience overseeing tenant improvements, renovations, fit-outs, or occupied-space projects. Knowledge of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and safety programs. Experience with Procore and Bluebeam preferred. SCIF, secure facility, federal, defense, or classified project experience is highly desirable. OSHA 30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to review construction documents and manage field execution independently. Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
