Job Description
Job Description Astound is seeking a Construction Manager to lead broadband and fiber construction projects that expand our high-speed network. In this role, you will oversee field crews and contractors, manage site readiness, permitting, and inspections, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You'll interpret telecom construction drawings, coordinate with engineering and network operations, and maintain accurate documentation. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge broadband technologies in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Plan and manage construction of broadband, fiber, and related telecom infrastructure projects from site preparation through closeout Coordinate contractors, field crews, permits, inspections, and utility locates to keep projects on schedule and within budget Interpret construction drawings, fiber plans, and specifications to ensure compliant builds and quality standards Monitor field progress, perform site walks, resolve issues, and enforce safety, QA/QC, and company standards Track project costs, materials, and change orders; report progress, risks, and metrics to project and operations leaders Collaborate with engineering, network, and operations teams to align build activities with design and service activation needs Maintain accurate project documentation, as-builts, and records in construction and project management systems Required Skills Telecommunications construction management Fiber and coax plant construction Project and schedule management Reading and interpreting construction drawings Budgeting and cost control Contractor and vendor management Permitting and right-of-way coordination Construction site safety and OSHA standards Quality assurance and inspections Project documentation and reporting
