Basic computer skills are required for communication and scheduling. This will be a customer and subcontractor facing position, so a positive attitude and a calm communication style is preferred. Opportunity We are in the market for a productive, positive, boots on the ground Construction Superintendent. Our Construction Superintendents oversee our employees and subcontractors, their safety, production standards, and time keeping. As the onsite supervisor, you will provide quality control, issue purchase orders, and control the day-to-day budget of the project. While you may not be updating the project schedule electronically, you will communicate schedule information to our Production Superintendent and be presenting those schedule updates in OAC meetings. As a Construction Superintendent at McBride Construction, you will be tasked with the typical issues on a construction site including jobsite logistics, organization, equipment, supply, and manpower utilization. You will participate in the conceptual development of construction projects and oversee their organization. Candidates should be forward-thinking, creative, organized, and self-directed. We are seeking a proven leader with prior experience in large-scale residential reconstruction and managing employees. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 4 years managing projects and at least a decade in the industry. Candidates must have a complete understanding of reconstruction procedures including general shell, RWB, interior and exterior finishes and the ability to thoroughly understand architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.   • Quality control
  • Subcontractor and McBride employee oversight, including safety and timecard management
  • Purchase order control
  • Assisting with initial preconstruction and budget

Required Education /
Experience:
  • Associate's degree in construction management or a long tenured journeyman carpenter with no less than a decade of progressively increasing responsibility and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge in all phases of construction
  • Comfortable and persuasive in negotiations and client meetings
  • Organized, self-directed and has excellent leadership ability
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
