USACE Qualified Construction Superintendent

•Federal / Heavy Civil Construction We Do Dirt, LLC is seeking an experienced USACE-Qualified Construction Superintendent for federal/heavy civil construction projects. This is not an entry-level superintendent position . Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they meet the experience and certification requirements applicable to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: Minimum 10 years of construction experience , with at least 5 years serving as a Superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity . Previous experience managing heavy civil, excavation, earthwork, levee/dike, drainage, utility, grading, embankment, or similar construction projects . Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification . Demonstrated experience working on USACE, Department of Defense, federal, or similarly regulated construction projects strongly preferred. Working knowledge of

Safety and Occupational Health Requirements . Experience with hazard identification, safety compliance, Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and enforcement of project safety requirements. Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, specifications, contract documents, submittals, and project schedules. Ability to understand and manage critical-path construction scheduling. Strong knowledge of excavation, earthwork, grading, utilities, heavy equipment operations, and site coordination. Ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field crews, quality control personnel, safety personnel, inspectors, and government representatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to provide documentation verifying required experience, certifications, and qualifications.

USACE / FEDERAL PROJECT EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate must understand the documentation and compliance requirements associated with USACE construction projects, including: USACE contract plans and specifications

requirements Accident Prevention Plans (APP) Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) Construction Quality Management (CQM) Three-Phase Control process: Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up phases Daily Quality Control and construction documentation Submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) Coordination with Quality Control and Site Safety and Health personnel Government inspections and coordination Project schedules and sequencing Environmental and site-specific requirements

SUPERINTENDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day field supervision and successful execution of assigned projects.

Responsibilities include:

Direct and coordinate daily field construction operations. Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, approved submittals, and contract requirements. Coordinate employees, subcontractors, equipment, trucking, materials, and suppliers. Plan work activities and maintain project schedule. Participate in daily planning and coordination meetings. Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, SSHO/Safety personnel, and USACE representatives. Review upcoming work to identify manpower, equipment, material, safety, and quality-control requirements. Ensure applicable AHAs are reviewed with employees before work begins. Maintain awareness of site safety requirements and ensure field operations comply with the accepted

requirements, and company safety policies. Participate in Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up Quality Control meetings/inspections as required. Identify field conflicts and communicate RFIs, changes, delays, and differing site conditions promptly. Maintain accurate daily documentation of manpower, equipment, subcontractors, production, delays, site conditions, and significant project activities. Maintain professional communication with owners, inspectors, USACE personnel, subcontractors, employees, and project stakeholders. Maintain an organized, productive, and safe jobsite.

Pay:

$85,000.00
