Superintendent Assistant

Job Overview Role to be filled immediately. We specialize in Site Concrete Construction. We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Superintendent to join our growing team. This position works closely with our Senior Superintendents to support daily field operations, coordinate jobsite activities, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and jobsite coordination skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with crews, subcontractors, and project teams. Responsibilities Managing warehouse staff and scheduling of deliveries. Managing material orders for stocked warehouse materials. Keeping warehouse inventory and knowing when supply orders are needed. Calling in 811 locates for projects as needed. Paint out locate areas at job sites. Comprehension of survey staking and understanding of cuts and fill as well as offsets. Confirming the survey is properly in place and ensuring proper grading. Attend Pre Construction meetings. Attend weekly project site meetings. Review projects that are scheduled and ensure they are ready for installation of concrete work. Coordinate manpower needs with Superintendent and Dispatcher. Work directly with crew members on daily construction tasks and aid in problem solving. Lead by example by maintaining high work quality, pace, and safety standards. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, toolbox talks, and job site rules. Communicate progress, challenges, and material/equipment needs to the Superintendent. Review and understand blueprints, layout drawings, and project specifications. Monitor the quality and consistency of work being performed by the crew. Maintain a positive, respectful working environment and foster teamwork. Assist with new hire paperwork as needed. Assist with fleet vehicles and maintenance tracking. Requirements 3 to 5 years' experience with civil site construction. Clean driving record that must meet minimum company criteria. (This includes a valid driving license.) Pass a background check that meets minimum company criteria. (Certain convictions that may disqualify an applicant for employment include, but not limited to, sexual assault or sexual misconduct offenses, crimes against children, domestic violence or domestic abuse offenses, other violent felony convictions relevant to the position.) Pass a drug screening. (Testing for marijuana will not be screened as it is permitted by state law.) Concrete experience is welcomed but not required. Compensation range is $34 to $45 per hour depending on experience level. Traveling is required to surrounding areas depending on job site locations. Will use a company vehicle for travel.
