Job Summary We are seeking a driven and capable Junior Superintendent to oversee siding and roofing operations in the field. This role is the next step after the Junior Superintendent Assistant position and is intended for someone who has developed a strong understanding of our systems, expectations, and field operations. As a Junior Superintendent, you will take ownership of projects, managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to RUDA's quality standards. While siding will remain the primary focus, you will also be responsible for overseeing roofing scopes as part of a complete exterior package. This role requires leadership, accountability, and the ability to think ahead. You will be expected to manage people, solve problems in real time, and keep projects moving forward without constant oversight. This is still a hands-on leadership role—candidates should be prepared to step in when needed, including performing warranty repairs, punch list work, and small installation tasks. Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Site Supervision
  • Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site for siding and roofing scopes.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans and specifications.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from start through completion. 2. Coordination
  • Coordinate vendors, crews, equipment, subcontractors, and/or laborers.
  • Plan and manage workflow to ensure efficient sequencing of siding and roofing operations.
  • Maintain schedule alignment and proactively address delays. 3. Safety Management
  • Enforce safety protocols and jobsite standards.
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. 4. Quality Assurance
  • Inspect siding and roofing installations to ensure they meet RUDA quality standards and project specifications.
  • Identify deficiencies early and ensure corrections are made promptly. 5. Progress Monitoring
  • Track and document construction progress.
  • Maintain daily reports including progress, manpower, and jobsite issues.
  • Ensure milestones are being met and communicate any risks early. 6. Problem Solving
  • Identify and resolve jobsite issues in real time.
  • Make decisions that keep projects moving forward while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Think ahead and anticipate potential challenges before they arise. 7. Material and Equipment Management
  • Ensure materials and equipment are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Verify quantities, track usage, and prevent waste.
  • Coordinate with office and suppliers to maintain proper material flow. 8. Communication
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with project managers, senior superintendents, clients, and crews.
  • Provide consistent updates on job progress and issues. 9. Permits and Inspections
  • Coordinate and ensure all required inspections are scheduled and passed.
  • Ensure work is compliant with plans, codes, and local regulations. 10. Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, deliveries, safety reports, and changes. 11. Field Work / Closeout Support
  • Perform and/or oversee warranty repairs, punch list items, and corrective work.
  • Assist with installation tasks when needed to maintain schedule and quality.
  • Ensure projects are fully completed, cleaned up, and ready for turnover.

Estimating / Pre
-Construction Support
  • Complete 1-3 take-offs per week to support estimating and stay sharp on plans, materials, and details, with flexibility to scale back during heavier field workload.
Qualifications  Strong hands-on experience in both siding and roofing is required.  Experience with metal siding and metal roofing systems is required.  Experience with decking and railing systems is required.  Experience installing and/or managing multiple siding systems, including but not limited to: o LP SmartSide o James Hardie o Cedar siding o Tongue & groove (T&G) systems  Strong understanding and proven experience with roofing systems, including but not limited to: o Shingles o Metal roofing o TPO  Experience with custom/high-end materials (e.g., Montana Timber Products or similar) is highly preferred.  Ability to self-teach and adapt by learning new materials, systems, and installation methods through manuals, specs, and manufacturer guidelines.  Proven ability to lead crews and manage jobsite operations.  Strong organizational and time management skills.  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.  Excellent communication and people skills.  Proficiency in construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and JobTread.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.  Must be able to type at 30+ WPM.  Must be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, and other necessary equipment. Education and Experience o 4-5 years of hands-on experience in siding, roofing, or a combination of both. o Minimum of 1 year in a Superintendent role overseeing siding, roofing, or combined scopes. o Proven experience managing crews and coordinating exterior scopes on active jobsites. o Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite coordination. o Experience reading blueprints and understanding building details. o OSHA certification required (or obtained shortly after hire). o CPR and First Aid training (preferred). o Forklift, Aerial Lift, Rigging, and Fall Protection certifications (preferred). o Strong organizational and planning abilities. o Scheduling and time management skills. o Leadership experience and ability to hold crews accountable. o Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Pay:
$58,740.32
