The hours for this position are 12-6 pm during the school year and varying 8 hour shifts during summer to fit the schedule.
Position Summary:
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Assistant Site Director works in partnership with the Site Director to support daily operations, ensure member safety, and uphold program quality. This position provides leadership support in supervising staff, engaging members, and maintaining a positive Club environment. The Assistant Site Director also plays a key role in strengthening community relationships, supporting grant-funded initiatives, and ensuring the overall success of Club programs and services. Leadership Support the Site Director in overseeing the implementation and delivery of the clubs programs, services, and activities, safety protocol, and positive mentorship. With the guidance of the Site Director, Program Director and Director of Operations, ensure high standards of excellence in the delivery of the Club's various programs and services Maintain an inviting, welcoming atmosphere and work to ensure the safety and maintenance of high-quality facilities, grounds, and equipment. Prepare Youth for Success Utilize the Youth Development Strategy to maintain a positive behavioral environment. Reports severe infractions to the Site Director, Director of Operations and parents/guardians when applicable, understands and applies child and adolescent development principles. Communicates with a strength-based approach to develop positive relationships with all youth. Resource Management Coordinate and support operational processes, including building, equipment, and facility maintenance and repair, ensuring issues are communicated and addressed promptly. Provide leadership support to assigned staff and volunteers by helping monitor performance, offering guidance, and assisting with program design, and operations. Along with the Director of Operations, assist in the development, training, and ongoing support of club staff, youth workers, and volunteers to promote professional growth and effective program delivery. Partnership Development Assist the Site Director in serving those in need by engaging families and members in After-School Program activities and events. Support the development of collaborative partnerships with youth-serving organizations, local area school district administration and faculty, parents, families, and community organizations. Strategic Planning Collaborate with the Program Director and Site Director to evaluate program effectiveness based on participation levels, member outcomes, and alignment with grant and program objectives. Provide guidance and technical assistance to assigned staff and volunteers in program design, development, community relations, and operations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Site Director and/or Director of Operations by completing assigned tasks, which may include grant reporting, fundraising activities, and traveling to other sites to serve as a substitute Site Director when needed.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal Maintain regular contact with assigned staff to provide guidance, encouragement, and support in program delivery and daily operations. Work closely with the Site Director and Director of Operations to ensure Club goals, policies, and procedures are consistently carried out. Ensuring proper communication channels are used and information is dispersed as needed. External Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with parents, schools, community groups, and other external partners to support member success and strengthen community engagement. Represent the Clubs in a professional manner when interacting with families and the community.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Background Check required Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, volunteers, subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies. Valid driver's license with good driving record and ability to drive club vehicles. Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all members and staff.
