Job Summary The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, and execution of construction activities on assigned projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, budget expectations, and contract requirements. As the primary field leader, the Superintendent coordinates craft labor, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. Essential Job Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily field operations, coordinating labor, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution. Manage construction activities in accordance with contract requirements, project specifications, drawings, company standards, and applicable codes and regulations. Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and short-term work plans while monitoring progress and implementing solutions to address delays, conflicts, and execution challenges. Champion safety and quality by enforcing company policies, conducting job site inspections, leading safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve field issues and support successful project delivery. Mentor and develop field personnel, maintain accurate project documentation, and promote a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and construction experience. Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years serving as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or field leadership role. Experience managing commercial, industrial, electrical, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, or similar construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, project scheduling, safety requirements, and quality control practices. Ability to read, interpret, and implement construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, and submittals. Knowledge of applicable building, electrical, safety, and construction codes and regulations. Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills. Proficiency with construction technology, Microsoft Office, and project documentation systems.
Preferred:
OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training. Experience working on data centers, industrial facilities, energy projects, electrical infrastructure, or mission-critical projects. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software. Journeyman-level trade experience or technical construction background. Work Environment:
Outdoor construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction-related hazards. Periodic office work involving project planning, reporting, and coordination. Frequent walking across active construction sites, climbing ladders, navigating uneven terrain, and conducting field inspections.
Travel requirements:
up to 25% of time, depending on project location. This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
