Job Description
Gateway Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Construction Project Manage r to provide leadership and oversight for residential construction projects in Laramie Wyoming. This position is responsible for the successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring homes are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to Gateway's quality standards while driving team performance, client satisfaction, and financial results. The Project Manager serves as the primary leader for assigned projects, overseeing planning, budgeting, scheduling, field operations, subcontractor performance, and client relations from project initiation through final closeout. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Operations Provide overall leadership and direction for multiple residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion. Establish project objectives, schedules, budgets, and performance expectations. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations. Identify and proactively resolve project risks, delays, and operational challenges. Drive continuous improvement in project execution, quality control, and production efficiency. Financial Management Develop, manage, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. Monitor project financial performance and take corrective action to maintain profitability. Review and approve project expenditures, purchasing decisions, and subcontractor commitments. Manage client change orders and ensure all scope modifications are properly documented and financially accounted for. Maintain accountability for overall project profitability and financial outcomes. Team & Subcontractor Management Lead and support Field Superintendents and project team members to ensure successful project execution. Establish clear expectations and hold subcontractors, vendors, and team members accountable for performance, quality, and schedule commitments. Coordinate labor, materials, and resources to maintain project momentum and production goals. Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, safety, and accountability. Client & Stakeholder Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the construction process. Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and municipal officials. Provide proactive communication regarding project status, schedule updates, and key decisions. Resolve client concerns professionally while protecting company interests and project objectives. Project Controls & Compliance Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting within BuildPro, including schedules, selections, change orders, budgets, and project records. Ensure contract requirements, permit obligations, inspections, and compliance standards are met. Oversee quality assurance and safety programs across assigned projects. Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to support project success. Qualifications 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in residential construction. Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, teams, and budgets simultaneously. Strong understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, sequencing, and building systems. Proven financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability management. Experience leading field personnel, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams. Proficiency with construction management software; BuildPro experience preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
