1-2+ Years Job Summary We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support quality control operations on large-scale commercial construction projects. This is a field-based position responsible for ensuring work performed by subcontractors and trade partners meets project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and owner expectations. The Quality Control Engineer will work closely with project leadership, trade partners, third-party testing agencies, and the owner's Quality Assurance team while managing inspections, documentation, deficiencies, and overall project quality. Responsibilities Perform initial and follow-up QC inspections Verify subcontractor work meets project specifications and applicable codes Participate in submittal reviews, preparatory meetings, and weekly QC meetings Review drawings, specifications, standards, and code requirements Manage project punch lists and deficiency reports Track deficiencies through final corrective action and resolution Perform material inspections for quality, condition, storage, and proper handling Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and significant findings Review subcontractor and trade-partner QC logs Coordinate and schedule third-party testing and source inspections Work directly with the owner's QA/QC representatives Help ensure corrective actions are completed and properly documented Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management 1-2+ years of experience on large commercial construction projects Previous Quality Control / QA-QC experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and codes Experience performing construction inspections and documenting deficiencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organization and follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD preferred Valid driver's license required What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in commercial construction who understands how work in the field ties back to drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality requirements . Candidates with backgrounds as a Quality Control Engineer, QC Inspector, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Assistant Project Engineer who have been involved with inspections and quality control are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is comfortable being in the field, working directly with subcontractors and project teams, identifying deficiencies, documenting issues, and following corrective actions through completion.Benifits:
