Job Description

Southeast Inspections, LLC (SEI) is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Field Inspector for an industrial power plant outage project in Wilsonville, Alabama. Candidates should have prior experience working in an industrial, construction, power plant, refinery, manufacturing, or similar field environment.

7 days per week, 12-hour shifts
Pay:
$50.00 per hour
Overtime:
Time and one-half after 40 hours
Per Diem:
$125 per day
Start:
Immediate / As Soon As Onboarding Is Completed Responsibilities The CWI Field Inspector will provide on-site welding inspection and quality control support for outage construction activities.
Responsibilities may include:
Perform visual inspections of welding activities and completed welds. Monitor field welding for compliance with applicable codes, specifications, drawings, and approved welding procedures. Verify welder qualifications and applicable WPS requirements. Perform fit-up and final visual inspections as required. Complete daily field inspection reports and maintain required QC documentation. Identify and document nonconforming work when necessary. Coordinate with construction supervision, welders, fitters, and other project personnel. Maintain professional communication with the customer and project team. Assist with quality documentation and turnover packages as required.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must:
Hold a current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. Have prior experience working in an industrial or heavy construction environment. Be capable of working 7 days per week, 12-hour shifts during the outage. Be comfortable working in an active industrial field environment. Have basic computer skills and be capable of completing electronic reports and QC documentation. Have good written and verbal communication skills. Be dependable and professional. Successfully complete the project's required background check and drug screening prior to starting. Background Check & Drug Screen This project has mandatory pre-employment screening requirements. Successful completion of both the required background check and drug screen is a condition of employment.
