Job Description
BPR Consulting Group (www.bpr-grp.com (http://www.bpr-grp.com)) is seeking an experienced and certified Building Official/Senior Plans Examiner to join our growing company and serve one of our key clients. The successful candidates must possess the ability to work independently, communicate effectively and maintain professional working relationships with clients, coworkers, and permit applicants. Essential Duties:
The essential duties noted below are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, functions, and skills. They are intended to be a summary of key job responsibilities and duties. Manages Building Department operations for an assigned client agency. Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of a building department. Consults with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues, responds to questions regarding codes and regulations. Plan review of minor projects for residential and commercial building, alterations, remodels, and additions. Performs field inspections on all phases of residential and commercial construction. Issues Certificates of Occupancy for completed projects. Create and maintain reports, plan review files and inspection logs for all building projects. Maintain clients permitting database. Perform all work consistent with BPR's and Clients policies and procedures. Provide all services in an efficient, proactive, and client focused manner.Benefits:

Five (5) plus years as a building official or plans examiner for a local or state fire or building department or equivalent related experience. Must possess knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes. Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes. Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes. Good driving record.Certification Requirements:
ICC Certified Building Official certification ICC Plan Review certifications preferredCompensation:
