My client is seeking experienced Certified General Appraisers to support their commercial real estate valuation process by conducting property inspections on a contract basis . This is an excellent opportunity for appraisers looking to earn supplemental income with flexible, field-based work—without the responsibility of writing full appraisal reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections of commercial real estate assets, including office, industrial, retail, and multifamily properties. Collect, verify, and document property data such as size, condition, use, occupancy, and physical characteristics. Capture clear, high-quality photographs and measurements as needed. Submit inspection results in a timely, accurate, and complete manner. Communicate with the internal appraisal and coordination teams as necessary to ensure smooth delivery of assignments. Represent yourself and the client with a high level of professionalism and reliability.
Requirements:
Active Certified General Appraiser license in good standing. Solid understanding of commercial property inspection standards. Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the DC metro area. Comfortable using mobile inspection apps and cloud-based systems. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Prior inspection or appraisal experience preferred.
Compensation:
This is a 1099 contract role with competitive per-inspection pay based on property type and complexity. Inspectors are compensated promptly upon completion and approval of submitted work.
