As an inspector, you will evaluate properties for insurance purposes, identify potential hazards, and ensure adherence to industry standards, all while providing exceptional service to clients. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help mitigate risks and support effective insurance underwriting processes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties using specialized tools such as measuring wheels, digital cameras, inspection tools, and mobile devices. Assess property conditions related to fire codes, OSHA safety standards, mold remediation needs, and construction quality to identify hazards or compliance issues. Utilize GPS technology and digital surveying equipment to accurately document property features and damages for detailed reporting. Perform risk analysis by evaluating structural integrity, environmental hazards, workplace safety conditions, and potential fraud indicators related to insurance claims. Prepare detailed inspection reports with quantitative analysis and trend identification insights to support underwriting decisions and loss control strategies. Communicate findings clearly with clients via phone or digital platforms, offering recommendations for risk mitigation or remediation actions. Stay current on industry regulations including fire codes, OSHA standards, workers' compensation insurance requirements, and property insurance policies to ensure inspections meet legal and safety standards. Skills Strong knowledge of loss control principles and commercial insurance practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for report writing and data management. Deep understanding of workplace safety protocols including OSHA standards and risk management strategies. Experience with fraud prevention and detection techniques in property claims. Ability to operate GPS devices, measuring wheels, digital cameras for surveying, inspection tools, and mobile devices efficiently in the field. Expertise in property insurance underwriting processes and financial software applications relevant to risk assessment. Familiarity with construction inspection procedures, mold remediation practices, fire codes, and regulations governing property safety. Excellent client communication skills with a professional approach to explaining inspection findings clearly and effectively.
