The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that complex Commercial and Multi-family construction projects meet compliance with the adopted California Codes and relevant local ordinances. Possession of an International Code Council (I.C.C.) certification as a Commercial Building Inspector or Combination Inspector is highly desirable. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to analyze various aspects of building projects, including construction plans and documents. Five or more years of Building Inspection experience is required. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial buildings during various stages of construction. Review plans and contract documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Collect data related to construction quality and safety, documenting findings accurately. Analyze inspection results and provide detailed reports on compliance or deficiencies. Collaborate with contractors, design professionals, and engineers to address any issues identified during inspections. Monitor ongoing construction projects to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Skills Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings. Strong knowledge of construction inspection processes and quality inspection techniques. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to building projects. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. Strong analytical skills to assess compliance with building codes and regulations.
