Hiring salary is dependent upon experience. The hiring range is $28.46 - $31.62 / Hourly. Are you passionate about building safe, healthy, and thriving communities? The City is seeking a dedicated Code Enforcement Inspector to join our Code Enforcement Division and help uphold the standards that protect our residents' quality of life. In this role, you will conduct professional field inspections, investigate code-related concerns, and manage cases to ensure compliance with municipal codes, land development regulations, and applicable international codes. Working under general supervision, you'll play a key part in educating the public, promoting voluntary compliance, and applying fair, consistent enforcement practices. Please review the full job description here! High school diploma or GED required. Two years of code enforcement work experience to include public interaction, conflict resolution, and familiarity with legal procedures is required. An equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record (and maintain while employed in this position). Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Basic Code Enforcement Certification through the Colorado Association of Code Enforcement Officials within two years from the date of hire, and a Housing and Property Maintenance Inspector Certification through the International Code Council (ICC) within one year from the date of hire.
