Job Description
Work Setting:
In Person (All in office/field)Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspector for our Fort Myers office. As part of our construction team, there is tremendous potential for qualified individuals to work on a multitude of exciting and innovative projects in the water and wastewater industries.Why Hazen and Sawyer:

Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications and work plans to verify contractor complianceConduct on-site observation, monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of construction activitiesVerify and track work in accordance with approved shop drawing submittalsObserve contractor performance and compliance with safety requirementsPrepare daily reports, verify material quantities, Time and Material (T&M) records and review contractor pay applicationsMonitor construction contractors adherence to project schedule and sequence of activities related to daily field observationsMaintain project redline and as-built drawingsCoordinate and communicate effectively with the CM Project team, multi-discipline engineering teams, contractors and third-party inspection/testing firmsAssist and coordinate with project start-up, testing checkout and training activitiesMaintain construction inspection and testing related documentation as necessaryRequired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:Minimum 5 years of construction / construction observation experienceFamiliarity with construction methods typical of civil, structural, mechanical and/or electrical engineering workExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, organizational and problem-solving skillsExperience working on and collaborating with multidisciplinary teamsAbility to travel to projects in the local area as neededProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related PC software packages used on construction projects. Microsoft Excel and Procore Construction Management Software will be utilized daily.
Ability to work in the field in all South Florida seasons
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. degree in a Civil/Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Building/Construction Science, or an Associate Degree in Engineering ScienceConstruction Manager in Training (CMIT - Construction Manager Certification Institute/CMCI) CertificationExperience in municipal water and wastewater or similar industry construction inspectionWhat We Offer:
