Job Duties:

• Performs periodic and scheduled site visits of Projects of the Company to observe the work performed by contractors during construction of land development projects to verify consistency with the approved plans and specifications.

The Field Inspector will be expected to document deficiencies and inconsistencies and bring them to the attention of the Engineer of Record, Client and/or Agency, as directed by the Engineer of Record.

• Reviews plans and specification of projects prior to construction and attends pre-construction meetings. Witness, review, evaluate, and interpret test data as it pertains to development projects.
• Prepare and maintain notes, diaries, field logs, and project files pertaining to the testing and construction of all projects assigned.
• Assist Project Managers with Review of pay requests for development projects for accuracy and that work installed and materials stored are accurate for the invoice period and the overall project.
• Assist Project Managers with review of change orders for fair and consistent pricing by Contractors.
• Reviews as-built information provided by Project Surveyor for consistency with design plans, and assist in review of Record Drawings for Agency certification submittals.
• Coordinate with Contractors and the Project Manager regarding citizen complaints involving development projects of the Company.
• Review utilities and roadway plans and specifications for accuracy and conformance to standard construction practices.
