(Quinn)is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) team in Florida. Quinn is a multidisciplinary consulting firm specializing in construction managment, engineering support, and CEI services. For more than 25 years, we have been committed to creating sustainable, vibrant communities through innovative planning solutions. Our professionals work collaboratively to deliver exceptional results for public sector clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and southern states. We are seeking detail-oriented Construction Inspectors or Senior Construction Inspectors with FDOT experience to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of roadway construction projects in Central Florida. The ideal candidates will be responsible for inspecting construction activities, verifying adherence to project specifications, and maintaining safety standards on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) procedures and certifications, along with the ability to coordinate with contractors and project teams to facilitate smooth project execution. Duties Conduct on-site inspections of roadway construction projects, including earthwork, concrete, asphalt, pile driving, drilled shafts, and other related activities. Verify that construction work complies with FDOT standards, plans, and specifications. Ensure proper implementation of traffic control measures, including intermediate MOT (Maintenance of Traffic), to maintain safety for workers and the public. Monitor safety protocols related to nuclear radiation safety during applicable activities. Assess stormwater management practices, erosion control, and sedimentation measures in accordance with Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program requirements. Review and approve final estimates in accordance with CTQP Final Estimates Level I standards. Maintain detailed inspection reports, documentation, and records of daily activities and compliance status. Coordinate with contractors to address deficiencies or non-compliance issues promptly. Participate in project meetings and communicate inspection findings effectively to project managers and stakeholders. Qualifications Proven experience as a Construction Inspector with FDOT projects or similar roadway construction environments.

  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT (Maintenance of Traffic
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety certification
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program Strong knowledge of FDOT construction standards, safety protocols, and inspection procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders. Valid FL driver's license with acceptable driving record.
