Public Housing Inspector (HUD)
Job Description Summary:
With a primary focus on Inspecting Public Housing (HUD), this person will conduct and manage property inspections, and create and implement pre-inspection plans with residents and
Area Housing Commission Essential Job Duties:
Travel to all sites subject to HUD inspections to perform a pre-HUD inspection Formulate an action plan to make the needed repairs based on the results of the pre-HUD inspection process Perform regular site visits to identify property deficiencies that must be addressed to ensure that each property is maintained physically to meet the standards set by HUD, and Area Housing Commission Create and maintain a work schedule for each site as needed and actively follow up to ensure repairs are completed on time, on budget, and to HUD/AHC standards Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Department and the Project Managers team to determine capital needs and ensure the performance of ongoing maintenance in accordance with HUD/AHC standards Ensure properties are within fire and safety code compliance; collaborate with site teams on emergency plans (i.e., fire, flooding, etc.)
Essential Skills, Experience:
Two year college, High school diploma or equivalent Three years of experience in public housing operations, construction management, or a related field, preferred
