Job Description

Our Central Florida Construction Team is looking for a CEI Inspector with FDOT Experience for our Construction Management and Construction Engineering Inspection group in the Orlando, FL area. This Position will work in the Central Florida Area. What you'll be challenged to do: This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 2 years' Inspection experience in CEI Roadway & Bridge Construction, transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure, with 1 year of which shall have been in bridge and or roadway construction to join a collaborative team environment. This role inspects and oversees CEI road & bridge construction work to ensure that results, procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. This role will serve as a daily inspector for all aspects of road & bridge construction including construction observations, material testing and documenting work activity. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of road and bridge construction. Working with other inspectors on a daily basis. Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations. Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing. Examine and approve workmanship of finished installations for conformity to client standards. Interpret plans, specifications, and discuss with the Contractor deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction. Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates, and change orders. Maintain daily logs of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports. Monitor several types of work activities. Have an understanding of construction safety practices and work methods for compliance. Manage documents using electronic platforms such as Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, MAC, and PrC. Able to Work Nights and Weekends. Be able to lift 70 pounds. What you will bring to our firm: High school diploma. 2+ years progressive CEI experience in roadway or bridge Construction. CTQP Final Estimates Level I CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II (Willing to take within the first year) CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II (Willing to take within the first year) CTQP Pile Driving Inspection (Willing to take within the first year) CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection Required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structure foundations (Willing to take within the first year) FDOT Intermediate

Traffic Signal Technician Level I (Willing to take within the first year) IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I (Willing to take within the first year) Nuclear Radiation Safety Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors A-19 Recommended when the scope of the project includes concrete pavement, grinding concrete pavement, or concrete pavement slab replacement.

ACI Field Inspector Qualification and Troxler Nuclear Density Guage Certification. Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients, and contractors to solve problems and conflicts. Team Player mentality.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $26
  • $28/hour.
Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
