Job Description At Atlas, we're providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive, and if you're a Roadway Construction Inspector ready to conduct independent inspection of roadway related construction and committed to doing meaningful work, then this is your moment. You'll maintain project records, coordinate material testing, and ensure concrete, asphalt, and erosion control compliance with all regulations and contract requirements. Core Responsibilities Conduct independent inspection of roadway related construction to ensure contract and specification compliance. Measure and quantify the contractor performed work. Document and maintain project records. Coordinate project material testing. Inspect and evaluate concrete and asphalt placement. Inspect erosion control measure to ensure compliance with contract, as well as state and federal regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. You'll thrive here if you Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management Associates degree with 0-2 years of roadway related work High School diploma and 5 or more years of experience as a roadway construction inspector
Preferred Certifications:
GSWCC Level 1a, GDOTWECS, GDOT
Field Concrete Technician, or ACI Concrete Field Technician Certification Thorough knowledge of mathematical functions, including geometric, trigonometric, and algebraic calculations related to roadway/transportation engineering. Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, contract provisions, specifications, construction details, inspection and testing procedures, and any other project related documents Prefer a working knowledge of GDOT specifications and standards, acceptable construction practices, materials, methods and equipment used for roadway construction. Possess a valid GA driver's license. Abide by Atlas health and safety policy and procedures.
