The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, quality control processes, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of construction projects from inception to completion. IDOT, Tollway, Railroad experience is a must for this position. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Review and analyze project plans, blueprints, and schematics to verify adherence to specifications. Perform quality control assessments throughout the construction process to identify any issues or discrepancies. Document findings from inspections and prepare detailed reports outlining compliance or violations. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address any construction-related concerns. Research data collection methods to enhance inspection processes and improve overall project quality. Monitor the installation of pipelines and other infrastructure components for proper execution according to industry standards. Provide guidance on contract requirements related to construction practices and quality assurance. Experience Proven experience in construction inspection or a related field is preferred. Strong background in construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and methodologies. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Ability to analyze complex data sets related to construction projects. Knowledge of pipeline installation standards is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
