at STV INC in Chicago, Illinois, United States Job Description STV's Transportation group inChicago, IL is seeking experienced transportation construction inspector with experience on CTA, CDOT, Tollway, IDOT, and/or bridge construction and rehabilitation projects. We have upcoming needs for multiple construction inspector positions on Full-Time and Part-Time, short-term and long-term projects for the Chicago Region clients. Positions require 5+ years of experience on Civil, buildings, RR track and or bridge construction inspection projects. OSHA training or certification a plus. A HS Diploma (or GED) and relevant technical highway or bridge construction or construction inspection experience is required. An AS or BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred. If you meet these criteria, have good technical skills, can work in a field construction site environment, and enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you.
Required Skills & Relevant Experience:
5+ years of construction inspection and/or management experience with Civil, buildings and or bridge construction inspection projects. Experienced with Excel and Microsoft Word and CTA Trimble, EBuilder, websites experience a plus. Concrete, Asphalt, Traffic Control, Track experience and OSHA Construction Safety and/or other related certifications a plus. Prepare inspection reports on work in progress and completed work. Ability to review contractor's procedures, materials, and work product for conformance with CTA specifications. Possess strong written, verbal, and basic computer skills, excel, word, emails. Willingness to work in a safe manner and within company, project, and OSHA safety guidelines on a civil/bridge/rail construction site. Be able to work nights and weekends and possess a valid driver's license and vehicle. Ability and willingness to attend training / classes to obtain additional inspection and safety certificationsCompensation Range:
