Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Building Inspector / Plan Reviewer to join our team. Duties Review and analyze construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations. Conduct comprehensive inspections of residential construction sites to verify adherence to approved plans, safety standards, and quality control measures. Perform detailed building code analysis to identify potential violations or issues during the planning and construction phases. Collect data through site visits, document findings, and prepare detailed inspection reports for review and recordkeeping purposes. Monitor public infrastructure construction projects related to residential developments, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and project specifications. Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve code violations or design discrepancies efficiently. Ensure construction regulatory compliance by interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately while enforcing safety regulations on-site. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Extensive construction site experience with a focus on residential or civil infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of building code analysis, construction regulations, and public works construction inspection procedures. Skilled in quality control processes including quality inspections and construction site inspections. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints reading skills, and analyze schematics effectively. Experience in construction management, contracts review, data collection, and ensuring construction regulatory compliance. Familiarity with public infrastructure projects involving pipelines or other civil infrastructure components is a plus. Excellent analysis skills for identifying issues related to building code compliance and safety regulations.
