Job Summary A well-established material-handling and crane organization is seeking an experienced Crane Inspector (Electrical) / Service Technician. Ideal for a technician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience inspecting, servicing, and repairing overhead cranes, hoists, and related industrial equipment — diagnosing electrical/electromechanical problems, performing repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, load tests, and installations at customer facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment, including installations and component replacements Diagnose electrical issues involving three-phase power, control-voltage circuits, VFDs, motors, contactors, relays, and limit switches, using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints Conduct OSHA-compliant inspections, operational testing, and load testing; identify safety concerns and recommend repairs Communicate findings clearly to customers and supervisors; complete service reports, inspection documentation, and other required paperwork (via iPad-based platform/company software) Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and similar equipment as needed Maintain a safe, organized work environment and perform limited general maintenance when assigned Follow all company, customer, OSHA, and industry safety requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma/GED 1+ year of relevant electrical, industrial maintenance, or crane/hoist service experience Strong electrical troubleshooting skills — three-phase systems, AC/DC motors, control-voltage circuits, VFDs, contactors/relays/transformers, and diagnostic meters Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel daily Ability to work at heights with fall protection, and occasional evenings/weekends as needed Strong communication skills with customers, supervisors, and coworkers Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn company/iPad-based software Ability to supply basic hand and electrical tools Preferred Qualifications Prior overhead crane/hoist service or inspection experience Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA crane standards Experience with load testing, inspection documentation, and industrial control-circuit troubleshooting Electrical/industrial-maintenance training, certification, or apprenticeship #CDIV101

Pay:

$30.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
