2/12325/CI1-4/9.01.26- SU At the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), we plan, build, maintain, and protect the transportation systems that connect communities, support commerce, and keep Louisiana moving.
Job Duties:
Depending on level and assignment, Construction Inspectors may: Assist with inspection of roadway, bridge, drainage, and related construction activities; Review and document material deliveries and quantities (including haul tickets and load tickets); Perform measurements, field checks, and routine tests under supervision; Observe contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions; Maintain accurate project documentation, including field notes, diaries, test reports, and estimates; Enter construction project data into required systems (e.g., Site Manager or other DOTD applications); Participate in required training and structured certification programs; Support public interaction and coordination during construction activities, as needed; Assist with emergency or disaster response activities when required.Position-Specific Details:

Construction Inspector 1- $14.98/hourly Construction Inspector 2
- $17.15/hourly Construction Inspector 3
- $19.63/hourly Construction Inspector 4
- $22.47/hourly

Career Progression:
